 The Settlers: Rise Of An Empire - The Eastern Realm | 2.09 GB When you think of city-building game franchises, chances are pretty good that The Settlers isn't the first name that springs to mind. Although German developer Blue Byte may have been topping the charts in Europe with these sedate simulations of medieval life for nearly 15 years now, the series has never gained the stateside prestige of something like Sim City or even Caesar. But this second-rate status might be coming to an end with the latest addition to the line. The Settlers: Rise of an Empire is the most fulfilling game in the series, adding easy-to-play charisma to the usual Middle Ages economics and trimming much of the micromanagement that made playing past releases in the series as much fun as doing your homework.   Despite the aggressive subtitle, gameplay here compares more closely to building an ant farm than it does to building a real-time strategy empire. As with previous Settlers games, the focus of the solo campaign is a mix of stereotypical city building with traditional Age of Empires-like resource gathering and soldier recruitment. Most of your efforts continue to be centered on developing a medieval city, which means you spend virtually all of your time constructing resource-gathering huts, erecting castle walls or gates, and trading with neighboring villages. James Bond 007: Agent Under Fire é uma mistura de Half-Life, GoldenEye e, acredite ou não, Need For Speed. A Electronic optou em dar variedade ao jogo, adcionando estratégia e fases de direção ao gênero primeira pessoa. O resultado parece promissor. As primeiras imagens, no entanto, mostram apenas as fases de tiro. O game usa o engine de Quake III. O nível de detalhes do game impressiona: as janelas possuem reflexos e as explosões são bem convicentes. Cenários destrutíveis (como em Red Faction) e objetos aleatório que se quebram realçam a ação. Diferente de aventuras anteriores, há mais de uma maneira de se completar uma fase. Por exemplo, você pode explodir os bandidos e correr pela sua vida ou pode optar em completar a fase se esgueirando pelos becos sem ser avistado. O jogo oferece também um sistema de recompensas que é acionado ao encontrar veículos e objetos escondidos pela fase. O objetivo de cada fase é explicado no começo de cada etapa, mas durante o jogo há informações e metas complementares que são passados bela adorável assistente Zoe Nightshade. A EA ousou ao trazer sexo e violência ao game. Atrás da porta do chuveiro, por exemplo, há a silueta de uma mulher nua. Infelizmente, ao abrir a porta você terá uma triste surpresa que nós não vamos revelar aqui. O ator John Cleese, que já cedeu sua voz para o game 007 Racing, dubla o personagem Q. Como de costume, Q equipa Bond com uma parafernália de bugigangas essencias para o término da missão. James Bond 007: Agent Under Fire terá 10 perigosas fases localizadas em pontos exóticos do planeta. O jogo, anunciado para o final do ano, terá ainda opção para 4 jogadores com tela dividida. Pela sua pouca dificuldade, é mais voltado para o público menos acostumado aos jogos, mas entusiastas também poderão ter algumas horas de desafio, ainda que por pouco tempo.
