'Jigger' Now Considered Racist Because it Sounds Like Another Word?!? Posted: 10 Oct 2010 02:17 PM PDT This makes complete sense and has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that the person using the word was a Republican. After all, when Obama used the word 'Jigger' there was a national firestorm over how our president could be so racially insensitive; or not... Where exactly do these hypersensitive people (though only hypersensitive when a Republican is talking) want the line to be drawn? Do walls still have cracks in them or are they zig-zag breaks since crack is only an 'er' away from a racially insensitive word toward whites. When asked about books/magazines you can no longer say you read them because read is pronounced the same as the color red which is the first part of insult toward southerners. When you get out of the pool you are not wet but damp since wet is the first part of an insult toward Hispanics. This really is ridiculous. Video embedded below.
Blumenthal (D) - 'My Lawsuits Create Jobs Because Businesses Welcome Them' Posted: 10 Oct 2010 01:56 PM PDT Someone dug up and even worse 'how to create jobs' type answer then Blumenthal gave during the debate. This almost begs a follow up attack ad. Video embedded below.

This unique artwork is also part of a birthday video that you can find at www.google.com. It's the very first time that a YouTube video has been embedded into a one-of-a-kind Google doodle—read a bit more about it in this post." |

Google Cars Drive Themselves, Even in Traffic Posted: 09 Oct 2010 08:03 PM PDT Google helping the 'cars of tomorrow' hit the roads today. I wonder how they would respond to stone throwers. http://googleblog.blogspot.com/2010/10/what-were-driving-at.html "So we have developed technology for cars that can drive themselves. Our automated cars, manned by trained operators, just drove from our Mountain View campus to our Santa Monica office and on to Hollywood Boulevard. They've driven down Lombard Street, crossed the Golden Gate bridge, navigated the Pacific Coast Highway, and even made it all the way around Lake Tahoe. All in all, our self-driving cars have logged over 140,000 miles. We think this is a first in robotics research. Our automated cars use video cameras, radar sensors and a laser range finder to "see" other traffic, as well as detailed maps (which we collect using manually driven vehicles) to navigate the road ahead. This is all made possible by Google's data centers, which can process the enormous amounts of information gathered by our cars when mapping their terrain."
Jewish Leader Hits Stone Throwing Palestinian Kids Posted: 09 Oct 2010 07:57 PM PDT The hit looks pretty bad but from the reports I have seen on TV the kids are not expected to have any lingering issues/injuries from the encounter. It appears in the video that Be'eri swerved to avoid other kids that had run out onto the road to pelt his car with stones; you know, but because throwing rocks at a moving vehicle from the side walk is just to far away. There is an important life lesson here, one which people should not need to be taught. Do not throw rocks at cars, especially not when you are in their path. The sound of stones bouncing off the car and shattering glass can be distracting to the driver. The driver will also tend to be more concerned with leaving the area quickly before the mob kills them and any passengers they may have then about the safety of the people trying to kill them. Video embedded below. "Video taken by the Associated Press news agency during the incident shows Be'eri driving into a group of Palestinian youths throwing rocks. One of the children struck was thrown into the air, hit the windshield, then landed on the asphalt street. He was taken to Moqassed Hospital in East Jerusalem. He is stable but suffers from head trauma and lower body injuries according to hospital officials. Be'eri was questioned by police, but was later released. According to reports he said he feared for his life and wanted to escape the stone-throwers. The incident took place in the East Jerusalem neighborhood of Silwan, which in recent weeks has been a flashpoint for violence between Israelis and Palestinians."
