Brown's (D) Wife Was The Person Who Called Whitman (R) a 'Whore'?

Posted: 11 Oct 2010 07:37 PM PDT

When Brown's (D) failed to hand up the phone after leaving a voice mail someone was overheard calling Whitman (R) a 'Whore'. Sources indicate the person was Brown's wife. It is not clear what sort of political impact it will have, but having his wife instead of a staffer making the comment does present another wrinkle; he can not fire his wife.

"Fox News is claiming it has sources whom have identified the person in Democratic gubernatorial candidate Jerry Brown's campaign who called Republican challenger Meg Whitman a "whore."

The comment was accidentally recorded on voice mail after Brown thought he hung up the phone after leaving a message for the Los Angeles Police Union.

Fox News says people with knowledge of what happened say it was Brown's wife who suggested calling Whitman a "whore," for cutting a deal to get the union's endorsement.

Man Who Threw Book at Obama Was Actually a Supporter

Posted: 11 Oct 2010 07:32 PM PDT

Obama had a rather strange rally yesterday. It was not because of what he did but because of the audience. One person streaked in an attempt to claim a million dollar prize, and 'over exuberant' supporter threw a book at him. There was no ninja-like-dodge as we saw with Bush and the shoe thrower. Obama might have managed such a move had he seen the book. There was no need however as it missed. No word on if the man will get paid.

Axelrod - 'Chamber Must Prove Foreign Money Allegations False'

Posted: 11 Oct 2010 07:26 PM PDT

That is not how this works. If you have a rather explosive charge against someone/something it is on you to offer something (anything) more then a baseless allegation as proof. It is also ironic given the level of undisclosed and foreign finances used by Obama during his presidential campaign.

http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/123539-axelrod-chamber-must-prove-foreign-money-allegations-false

"White House senior adviser David Axelrod said the U.S. Chamber of Commerce has the burden of proving false the charge by Democrats that the business group is funneling foreign money to Republican campaigns.

Axelrod was pressed by CBS's Bob Schieffer on Sunday for evidence that the foreign campaign contributions benefiting the GOP is more than "peanuts."

"Do you have any evidence that it's not, Bob?" Axelrod said on "Face the Nation." "The fact is that the Chamber has asserted that, but they won't release any information about where their campaign money is coming from. And that's at the core of the problem."

A new ad by the Democratic National Committee accuses the Chamber of "benefiting from secret foreign money" and said that the business group and Republican operatives are "stealing our democracy."
