Day 13 of No Dining Out October

Can you go an entire month without going out to eat? What about a week or a day? Can you cut your dining bill by 20%, 50% , 75% or more? That is what I challenge you to do!

At the end of the 30 days, I will choose one winner who will get $50 to spend at a restaurant(s) of their choice!

The rules:

1. You must challenge yourself. Try to spend less than you spend now. If you don’t go out to eat at all, challenge yourself to try new meals this month. As long as you are challenging yourself when it comes to your family’s eating habits, you can participate!
2. You must comment on at least 10 days worth of the discussion posts in order to be eligible to win the gift card.
3. The winner will be chosen at random. It won’t matter if you have been 100% successful or not.
4. You are allowed 1 freebie meal that you don’t have to count or report back to us about. Please report on everything else though so we can encourage and support one another!
5. Free meals do not count against you. This is a challenge to spend less money going out to eat than you usually spend. If someone else is paying for the meal or you have a coupon to make it free, great!
6. Here is a thought… consider keeping a tally of what you would of spent this month. For example, if you really want to go out for breakfast this morning and you resist… write that down! You could then donate that money to a food bank or deposit it into your fund!

My progress:

We went to Chickfila for lunch yesterday. They were giving all their profits to the family of an 11 year old boy that was hit by a car earlier this month. I was sitting with my mother in law and told her that I hoped the little boy’s family was really going to benefit from this. Then the boy’s brother leaned over and started talking to me. I was so caught up in emotion. He was so friendly and had such a beautiful family. My thoughts and prayers are with them through this time.

I spent $19. I left the coupons at home and wanted to spend as much as I could. ;)

Update on baby – Ultrasound Friday Morning

The doctor’s office called today and scheduled my ultrasound appointment for Friday morning. I’m glad we will have some answers this week.

The baby is growing strong. The heartbeat is between 165-180. I’ve been checking it a couple times a day with my Doppler. That gives me some peace of mind.

I’ve been taking it easy since I got the news. I am making sure to drink plenty of water and eat healthy foods and get as much rest as I can. I can feel the baby moving around from time to time. Such a little stinker.

I really, truly appreciate everyone that is praying for us. I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful, strong support system around me. I appreciate you all so very much! If I could ever pray for you or your family, please let me know!
