Antonio Martinez (AKA Muhammed Hussain) Arrested For Trying to Bomb a Recruiting Station Near Baltimore

Posted: 08 Dec 2010 08:23 PM PST

This is the second attempt, thankfully thwarted, in as many weeks. Does this mean the terrorists are stepping up their game, our enforcement policies have hit a successful 'sweet spot', or both?

"A man was arrested Wednesday for plotting to blow up a military recruitment center in the Baltimore area, authorities said.

Antonio Martinez, a Muslim convert who called himself Muhammed Hussain, was arrested and is expected to appear later Wednesday in federal court, Fox News confirms.

Martinez, a U.S. citizen, was caught in a sting operation as he tried to detonate a phony bomb at an Armed Forces recruiting station in Catonsville, just outside Baltimore, officials said.

NASA Launches a Nanosatellite From a Microsatellite

Posted: 08 Dec 2010 07:45 PM PST

This first is the start of a whole new chapter in satellite technology. This is the (formerly) sci-fy mother satellite deploying baby satellites; just think of all the potential applications.

http://www.popsci.com/technology/article/2010-12/nasa-launches-nanosatellite-microsatellite-first-time

"In the wee hours of the morning today something very small did something very big very high above the Earth. NanoSail-D, a demonstration nanosatellite launched aboard the Fast, Affordable, Science and Technology Satellite (FASTSAT) last month, ejected from the mothership, marking the first time a small cubesat has been deployed from a larger autonomous microsatellite in space.

All of those qualifying nano- and micro- descriptors may obscure the real achievement here, so let's look at it another way: NASA launched an autonomous satellite, and that satellite has successfully deployed a second, smaller satellite. That's big news for FASTSAT, which was designed to be a small, cost-effective, and independent means to launch small commercial and scientific satellites without having to piggyback on larger, expensive NASA missions.

Record Breaking 405-Pound Tuna

Posted: 08 Dec 2010 07:39 PM PST

It will not be official until the International Game Fish Association verifies it.

"Mike Livingston caught a yellowfin tuna last Tuesday while onboard the Point Loma-based boat Vagabond during an excursion in Mexico.

The crew pulled into San Diego Monday, and the 405-pound fish was placed on a scale for a weigh-in and on display for onlookers.

The previous record was set by a 388-pound yellowfin, caught in 1977.

Zionist Attack Sharks!?!

Posted: 08 Dec 2010 07:28 PM PST

It appears those crafty Jews have upgraded their animal weaponry from snakes to Sharks! You know, you probobly should not mess with a country who is capable of training sharks to attack their enemy.

http://israelmatzav.blogspot.com/2010/12/zionist-sharks-wreak-havoc-in-sharm.html

"A German tourist was mauled to death by a shark in the Red Sea off the coast of the former Israeli resort of Sharm el-Sheikh on Sunday and guess who the Egyptians believe is to blame. Of course. The shark must have been a Zionist.
...
While Egyptian media are treating the incidents as rare, perhaps in a bid to encourage the millions of foreign tourists who visit Sinai's coast every year that the area is safe, there have been several reports in the past decade of shark attacks.

That hasn't dampened the imagination of conspiracy theorists, however. A popular account has it that Israel is "dumping" hungry sharks in the Red Sea in a bid to weaken Egypt's thriving tourism industry.
