Christmas Party: Hallelujah the comments have quit moderating!

Posted: 10 Dec 2010 12:40 PM PST

Praise the Lord the comments have quit moderating themselves. It only took 48 hours this time. Maybe it’ll give me a long reprieve before it does it again.

So to celebrate we are going to have a commenting contest. The prize is a $10/$20 purchase coupon good to Build A Bear that expires 12/31/10.

The following comment numbers are going to win:

You can comment as many times as you want, however the blog prohibits you from commenting back to back. I think it’s like a 30 second gap between comments. I don’t set this stuff…. it just does it on it’s own! Also comments might get caught in the spam filter, so nobody officially wins until I make sure all the comments are approved. ;)

So have fun! Don’t forget that Build A Bear has Disney outfits!

This contest is being sponsored by Couponing to Disney and is in no way affiliated with Build a Bear.

Christmas Party: What is under the tree for 5-7 year olds?

Posted: 10 Dec 2010 11:46 AM PST

My little monkey Christmas 2006

Do you ever find yourself racking your brain trying to figure out what to buy infants for Christmas? It can be challenging for the parents to figure out, but I imagine that it can be twice as hard to figure out what to buy for kids that don’t belong to you.

So if you are buying gifts for kids ages 5-7, please post what is under the tree for them! I know lots of people can use some ideas on what to get infants.

One person who comments with their gift ideas for a child aged 5-7 is going to win a $15 Amazon.com gift card to use to purchase an item for someone on their Christmas List! Woo hoo for a free present!

(Keep in mind that my crazy blog has decided to moderate all comments for no good reason. So if your comment doesn’t show up, it’s because it’s held up in the queue. No need to submit it again, it will appear in a matter of minutes. I have some Elves helping me approve comments.)

This giveaway will end at 11:59 pm pst on December 10th. This giveaway is being sponsored by Couponing to Disney and is in no way affiliated with Amazon.

Christmas Party: Enter to win a 20 page Classic Photo book from Picaboo!

Posted: 10 Dec 2010 11:04 AM PST

One lucky winner will receive a coupon for a free 20 page Classic photo book, valued at up to $39.99. You will be responsible for shipping which is about $8.

This coupon covers one of three different book style:

  • Classic Custom hardcover books add a “wow” factor and a professional touch to your book with a completely customized cover that really makes an impact.  Create a one-of-a-kind cover featuring the layout, background, images, and text of your choice on the front cover, back cover and spine.
  • Our Classic Leather books have a rich, smooth finish and formal, timeless design that speaks to their lasting quality. These covers are easier to care for than the Classic Linen, which can show fingerprints and other markings more easily.
  • Our Croc-embossed leather books feature our classic design and durable bonded leather with a stylish embossed finish.  Less formal and more “fun”, croc-embossed leather can jazz up any photo book. (No – it's not real crocodile skin! The croc design is embossed on our standard Classic bonded leather).
  • Our Classic Linen books feature a traditional photo book design with a die cut window on the front cover, allowing your image and caption from the first page to show through the cover when the book is closed.

Creating photo books with Picaboo is easy and fun. Photo books can be fully customized by dragging-and-dropping photos and captions anywhere on your pages, and our software allows you creative control so you can make each special page look just the way you want it to.

This giveaway will end at 11:59 pm pst on December 10th. This giveaway is being sponsored by Picaboo.

Christmas Party: 8 readers will win a set of chair locks from Safe to Grow!

Posted: 10 Dec 2010 09:58 AM PST

If you have kids then you know about the annoying stage they go through where they are constantly messing with the kitchen chairs. From moving the chairs over to the counters so they can climb on them to pushing out from the dinner table when they are suppose to be eating dinner…. It’s enough to drive you crazy not to mention being dangerous!

Safe to GrowSafe has found the solution. SafetoGrow chair locks secure kitchen and dining room chairs to the table. This prevents toddlers from using chairs to climb, which prevents falls, or movement of chairs to reach dangerous objects on tables, countertops, stoves, windows, etc.

SafetoGrow chair locks are very easy to use too. It took my husband just 20 minutes to install it on all 4 chairs at the table. It took just 2 seconds to annoy my son but oh well. I like the peace of mind it gives us. He will NOT stop climbing.

It’s also great because he can fit in his booster chair while the actual chair is still strapped to the table. So no more pushing out the chair when he feels he is finished wiht dinner!

Safe to Grow was kind enough to send me enough chair locks for 8 more amazing Couponing to Disney readers!

It’s a Couponing to Disney Christmas Party!

    Posted: 10 Dec 2010 08:03 AM PST

I have so much fun celebrating the holidays with my readers. I can not even tell you what a light you are in my life. And I love to give things away. I love having the honor of sending that email that says “You won!”

So let’s have fun today! I had to run some errands this morning and I got held up (meaning I went to pick up my 240 Christmas cards and it was not of my kids!) so give me a few minutes to get that fixed (gotta send a card to Walmart so she can print 240 new cards for me) and then we will get things under way!

Another Couponing to Disney Christmas party is coming your way at 10 am cst…………

    Posted: 10 Dec 2010 06:00 AM PST

I had so much fun on Monday bringing you tons of great giveaways and fun activities and I want to do it again! I have a lot more awesome giveaways lined up for you guys today. I can’t wait! I love making someone’s day.

Now there is one thing I want to tell you. My blog has a little bit of a glitch in it’s programming. We can’t figure out why this happens, but ever so often the comments decide to be moderated on their own. This lasts for 24-48 hours and I can’t get it to stop. So when you comment and your comment doesn’t appear immediately, this is why. And today is one of those days. It’s weird.

I can’t wait to party with you all! It really lifts my spirits.

Walgreens: Now you can get paid to buy wrapping paper!

    Posted: 10 Dec 2010 05:29 AM PST

Hallmark just released a new 50c Holiday Wrapping paper coupon that makes the deal at Walgreens even better!

    Buy 2 Hallmark Wrapping Paper — B1G1 @ $1.99
Use 1 50c Hallmark Wrapping Paper Printable (will deduct $1)
    Pay 99c and get a $2 RR
    Total: $1.01 money maker!

Be sure to check out all the current Walgreens deals here.

Wild for Wags went out to try this new Wags Q for the paper and it beeped on the $1.99 b1g1 paper.  There aren’t any exclusions so it’s annoying. Some readers are saying that they just pushed it through for them since it should work.

    (Thanks Wild for Wags!)

Walmart.com: Get a 3 piece luggage set plus neck pillow for $20!

    Posted: 10 Dec 2010 05:15 AM PST

Walamrt has an awesome daily deal today. You can get the above 3 piece luggage set and a free neck pillow for just $20. The set includes: 20? rolling carry-on, 14? shoulder tote, and 10? travel kit. Just select in store pick up to avoid shipping charges.

I actually have a set by this company and they are decent. I won’t say they are the best luggage, but it has lasted for 2 trips to Disney World. I wanted to just use plastic totes as our suitcases when we first went and hubby wouldn’t hear of it. He said it was too redneck. I thought it was EASY. So we bought a set and it’s served it’s purpose.

Plus you can go through Ebates and earn 2% cash back (that’s $0.40). And if you are a new member, you will get a $5 bonus on top of the cash back! Just sign up here and after logging in, search for the store in the search box and follow the link to the store's homepage and proceed with your order like normal. Your cash back will appear in your Ebates account. It’s like getting paid to shop!

Day 10 of No Dining Out December

    Posted: 10 Dec 2010 04:50 AM PST

Can you go an entire month without going out to eat? What about a week or a day? Can you cut your dining bill by 20%, 50% , 75% or more? That is what I challenge you to do!

At the end of the 30 days, I will choose one winner who will get $50 to spend however they choose!

    The rules:

    1. You must challenge yourself. Try to spend less than you spend now. If you don’t go out to eat at all, challenge yourself to try new meals this month. As long as you are challenging yourself when it comes to your family’s eating habits, you can participate!
    2. You must comment on at least 10 days worth of the discussion posts in order to be eligible to win the gift card.
    3. The winner will be chosen at random. It won’t matter if you have been 100% successful or not.
    4. You are allowed 1 freebie meal that you don’t have to count or report back to us about. Please report on everything else though so we can encourage and support one another!
    5. Free meals do not count against you. This is a challenge to spend less money going out to eat than you usually spend. If someone else is paying for the meal or you have a coupon to make it free, great!
    6. Here is a thought… consider keeping a tally of what you would of spent this month. For example, if you really want to go out for breakfast this morning and you resist… write that down! You could then donate that money to a food bank or deposit it into your fund!
    7. Be sure to check out our list of casserole recipes here and the crock pot recipes here and the under 6 ingredient recipes here.

    My progress:

I took my mother in law grocery shopping yesterday and we ended up at Zaxby’s for lunch. I had a coupon for a free Meal deal so it was $14 total of 3 adults and 1 child to eat. Not bad.

    How are you doing?

Can you spot him on the rug?

    Posted: 09 Dec 2010 07:38 PM PST

Have you found him hiding out? If so, be sure to take a picture for me!

Reset – *HOT* Coupon – $3 off any Similac Formula

    Posted: 09 Dec 2010 03:28 PM PST

Coupons.com has a coupon for $3 off any Similac Formula. Both Walmart and Target have bottles of the ready to feed formula for just $3.86. Making it just a mere 86c after the coupon!

Even if you do not formula feed, I urge you to print the coupon and just stick it on the shelf at your local store by the Similac. Formula is ridiculously expensive and you would make some mother’s day when she finds that coupon. $3 is a lot of money to save. I love coupon fairies.

You can also donate it to your local food bank or woman’s shelter.
