Reminder – See Here: $2.49 for 24 cards + get paid to buy them through Ebates!

Posted: 30 Nov 2010 11:30 AM PST

See Here has a pretty good deal on Christmas cards. And if you are a new Ebates member, you can get paid to buy them!

Here’s how:

  • Sign up for an Ebates account. You will get $5 just for joining!
  • Once you are logged into Ebates, put See Here in the search box on the left side
  • Click on Shop Now to be redirected to See Here’s site
  • Create a new See Here account (this deal is only good on new See Here accounts)
  • Design 24 4×8 photo cards
  • Use the code 25cards at checkout
  • Total: $2.49 shipped or 10c a card (cards start at 28c at Walmart)
  • Earn $5 + $0.30 cash back!

Remember once you click from Ebates to See Here to NEVER close the page or you will lose your cash back. If you must close the page for any reason, you will need to go back to Ebates and search for See Here again. (I’ve done this before on a much bigger purchase and it’s every upsetting!)

If you are already an Ebates member, you can do the same deal above with Shop at Home instead. They also offer a $5 new account sign up bonus but they are only offering 8% cash back.

(Thanks Miranda!)

Elf on the Shelf is an elf and book set by Carol Aebersold. On Thanksgiving night, your elf arrives in your home directly from the North Pole. The elf bring with them the book Elf on the Shelf which tells their story and their purpose of being in your home. Each night while your children sleep, your elf visits the North Pole to report your child’s behavior directly to Santa himself. He then returns to your home and picks a new, unique hiding place.

My children have so much fun waking up each morning and hunting for their elf. I use this site to come up with new and unique locations for the elves.

Here is what our Elves have been up to for the past 2 days:

Day 30 of No Dining Out November – You must post on this post to be eligible to win the $50!

Posted: 30 Nov 2010 05:14 AM PST

Can you go an entire month without going out to eat? What about a week or a day? Can you cut your dining bill by 20%, 50% , 75% or more? That is what I challenge you to do!

At the end of the 30 days, I will choose one winner who will get $50 to spend at a restaurant(s) of their choice! (You have to of posted on 10 days worth of posts.)

The rules:

1. You must challenge yourself. Try to spend less than you spend now. If you don’t go out to eat at all, challenge yourself to try new meals this month. As long as you are challenging yourself when it comes to your family’s eating habits, you can participate!
2. You must comment on at least 10 days worth of the discussion posts in order to be eligible to win the gift card.
3. The winner will be chosen at random. It won’t matter if you have been 100% successful or not.
4. You are allowed 1 freebie meal that you don’t have to count or report back to us about. Please report on everything else though so we can encourage and support one another!
5. Free meals do not count against you. This is a challenge to spend less money going out to eat than you usually spend. If someone else is paying for the meal or you have a coupon to make it free, great!
6. Here is a thought… consider keeping a tally of what you would of spent this month. For example, if you really want to go out for breakfast this morning and you resist… write that down! You could then donate that money to a food bank or deposit it into your fund!
7. Be sure to check out our list of casserole recipes here and the crock pot recipes here and the under 6 ingredient recipes here.

My progress:

No dining out for me yesterday! I was too busy to leave. LOL

How are you doing?

Freebie: Kitchenaid Can Opener when you join their newsletter!

Posted: 29 Nov 2010 06:15 PM PST

Ok this is a deal that might not work out…. but if I didn’t share it and it did work I’d be mad at myself (I’ve done this before)!

When you join the KitchenAid email newsletter, they will send you a free can opener! They will send you an email immediately to confirm your subscription and instructions in a few days on how to redeem your free can opener.

From Kelly:

I don't think it's legit either. My confirm email also came from a gmail address and the response link goes to benchmarkemail.com which then gets routed some where else. If you Google benchmarkemail.com, it is a bulk email marketing site/company. Running virus scan & malware scans now…

So we will see….. :-/

I have a lot of their kitchen items (no not the awesome mixer) and I’d love to add this to my collection.

(Thanks SwagGrabber!)

ING: Get an easy $50 for opening an online checking account!

Posted: 29 Nov 2010 01:17 PM PST

Did you miss the $25 bonus for ING when you open a kid’s account that they offered over the weekend?

Well if you did, don’t worry! There is another HOT deal with ING.

  • Go here and click on the ING Direct logo in the upper left hand corner
  • Select the Checking tab (like pictured above) and then click Get Started
  • Open an ING Direct Electric Orange Account. There is no minimum to open the account but you want to put in at least a few dollars so you can make some purchases.
  • Within the first 45 days of having the account you will need to use your Debit Card to make (3) signature (no pin) purchases. (Basically you will run your debit card as a credit.)
  • Your $50 bonus will be deposited on day 50 and ready to withdrawal!

That’s an easy $50 for your fund!

ING Direct is an online bank that has very high interest rates (usually higher than you find at a local bank). I have been a member of ING Direct since 2006. I have never had ANY issues and I love being able to earn a good bit of interest on my money. I easily transfer money between my local checking account and ING and it’s all protected! I wouldn’t be telling you about this deal if I didn’t feel fully confident in this bank.

I also have the Orange Checking account that you are applying for. It is really easy to use. Plus the debit card is very snazzy looking!

Plus check out this comment from my reader Mary:

I've had an ING account for close to 10 years. Never had a problem and is so easy to transfer back and forth between my ING account and our two checking accounts.

I do want to point out that when you make a deposit, you will have to wait a week to transfer the money back out. But that's no big deal.

(Thanks Moms By Heart!)
