LG Star To Have HDMI Port And Runs On Android 2.2 Posted: 30 Nov 2010 08:59 AM PST Earlier this month, information about LG's upcoming high-end smartphone codenamed Star leaked on the Internet. Now, we have more information about the upcoming 'Star' handset from LG thanks to berryjuice who has managed to get his hands on two of these devices. He has posted some specifications of the device along with some pictures. From the pictures he has posted, it is clear that the LG Star will be sporting an HDMI out port. He also confirmed that the handset will have WVGA resolution and won't be sporting a kickstand at its back. Earlier, it was assumed that the Star will launch with stock Android 2.3 onboard. However, both the prototypes run on Android 2.2 with LG's UI on top of it. LG's UI looks very similar to Samsung's TouchWIZ UI. Berryjuice also posted the Quadrant score of the device. The Star managed to score 1759 points in the Quadrant benchmark. Pretty impressive for a prototype!
