| Meteorite Hunt in the Atacama Desert Posted: 11 Nov 2010 09:44 PM PST This week on the Science Channel the Meteorite Men searched a few strewn fields in Chile’s Atacama Desert. The Atacama is a great place to search for meteorites because the climate is very dry and meteorites are not rapidly attacked by moisture. If you missed the program you can watch four videos from the episode on the Science Channel site. Next Tuesday they visit the Monturaqui Crater and search for carbonaceous chondrites. |
