“Gifts from the Arts” Festivities at South River Colony Posted: 03 Dec 2010 02:00 AM PST South River Colony has some wonderful Maryland real estate and it is definitely worth considering if you are looking at homes in the Edgewater/Annapolis area. One way to get a feel for an area is to go to events there. While you still have to do your research, it does help to visit an area at different times and meet residents in a variety of settings. This weekend (Fri.-Sunday) and December 9-12, you can see the second annual “Gifts from the Arts,” an art exhibit put on by the Muddy Creek Artists Guild. A group of artists takes a storefront in the South River Colony Shopping Plaza and turns it into an exciting display. During the two weekends that it is in operation, you can purchase fine arts and crafts made by more than 70 area artists. There are also several special events connected to “Gifts from the Arts” including- Inaugural event with music by Them Eastport Oyster Boys, refreshments and desserts from Smith Island Cakes-December 3, 5pm to 8pm John Day is a South River Colony real estate agent and he would be more than happy to discuss properties that are for sale in this award-winning planned community. |
