Can Algae Save the Salton Sea? Posted: 27 Nov 2010 09:55 PM PST The Salton Sea is growing saltier with every passing year. Part of the reason is that the inflow of water is getting smaller. Decreasing the salinity will require increasing the inflow of fresh water. A proposal to grow algae in fields upstream from the Salton Sea is being promoted. |
