Posted: 20 Nov 2010 10:16 PM PST

HTC Knight - HTC Evo Shift 4GSome details of a phone codenamed the HTC Knight were leaked a couple of days back. Today, we have more information about the Knight — it sport a 3.7 inch TFT capacitive touchscreen display and will come with a sliding QWERTY keyboard, like the HTC Desire Z.

It will have 4G connectivity and will be offered exclusively by Sprint. The Evo Shift 4G will sport an 8 MP camera and could possibly be powered by a dual core processor. (Though a leaked prototype had a 1 GHz single core processor, it will be upgraded by the time of launch).

It will launch with Android 2.2 Froyo but will probably get an upgrade to Android 2.3 Gingerbread.

Nokia N8 Plagued With Power Management Issues

Posted: 20 Nov 2010 07:59 PM PST

The N8 is Nokia's first phone based on Symbian^3 and the company has pretty high hopes from it. Nokia is expecting the N8 to make it a force to reckon with in the high-end mobile segment. However, the Finnish company plans have hit a roadblock. Scattered reports from all over the world are suggesting that the N8 is plagued with some power management issues.

The N8 will automatically switch itself off and will refuse to switch on after that. Even a hard reset (Menu+ Volume down+ camera key+ power on key) doesn't helps in this case.

Nokia's Niklas Savander has also accepted the issues but said that the problem affects a very small number of users so there is nothing to worry about. Here is the video in which Niklas talks about the N8 power management issues -

The Palm Pre 2 was launched just some time back and has become available in the US and the UK only in the past few weeks. Besides the upgraded hardware, the main reason why the Palm Pre 2 is an excellent smartphone option is because it sports the revamped new webOS 2.0. The successor to webOS is much faster and much more refined than version 1.0.

Today, we have some news that will bring a smile to the face of everyone who owns a Palm Pre, Pre Plus, Pixi and Pixi Plus. All these devices will be getting an upgrade to webOS 2.0.
