| Day 2 of No Dining Out November Posted: 02 Nov 2010 05:05 AM PDT Can you go an entire month without going out to eat? What about a week or a day? Can you cut your dining bill by 20%, 50% , 75% or more? That is what I challenge you to do! At the end of the 30 days, I will choose one winner who will get $50 to spend at a restaurant(s) of their choice! The rules: 1. You must challenge yourself. Try to spend less than you spend now. If you don’t go out to eat at all, challenge yourself to try new meals this month. As long as you are challenging yourself when it comes to your family’s eating habits, you can participate! My progress: Yesterday was a very hard day for me. My hubby was at work and I was having a meltdown. So I decided to go take him to lunch (he works 40 min away). We went after the lunch rush and the waitress was so slow (not our food) that he ended up being 5 minutes late to work. There was no reason for that….. they had like 6 tables full in the restaurant! I had to go hunt her down to get her to run our ticket. So after we left, I called the manager back and told him how upset I was. The manager is giving us a free lunch next week. I hate to complain about people, but seriously. When it isn’t busy, it shouldn’t take that long. It never has before. I was very nice when I complained. We spent $25 but we also have the free lunch we can redeem next week. How are you doing? |
