Salman Khan Caught sketching

Posted: 16 Nov 2010 07:48 PM PST

At the press meet to support the campaign of donation of bone marrow to Marrow Donor Registry of India, actor Salman Khan got in a mood to sketch.

The press photographers saw a live display of the painter-sketcher Salman at work as the superstar drew a sketch of a bearded man that looked like Jesus Christ.

It's no secret that Salman has a fascination for sketching and painting Christ. He recently gifted his painting 'Jesus in Prayer' to Sushmita Sen.

What particularly bowled us over was Salman's dexterity on the paper. Check out the stills of Salman 'the artist' at work.

A fat down but Golmaal 3 going strong at box office

Posted: 16 Nov 2010 07:47 PM PST

If we talk about the new releases of the week, the box office is dull. A Flat, Ramaa - The Saviour and Dunno Y…Na Jaane Kyun all have fallen flat at the BO with bleak to poor collections.

Though A Flat had a slim chance because it came from the producers of A Wednesday, the poor reviews and dull response from the audience couldn't help its business.

As for now, the box office has only one king and that's Golmaal 3 which released on Diwali along with Akshay Kumar-Aishwarya Rai's Action Replayy. The movie had an average opening but its second week business is huge with Rs 19 crore approx. The film's total collection after ten days is Rs 81 crore approx and by the end of the week it should cross Rs 90 crore mark. Producers must be busy laughing their way to the bank, as it's expected that the movie can even hit Rs 100 crore jackpot.

Action Replayy has had a poor run at the BO but in comparison to the new movies, its business is still better. As per reports, the film has lost more than 50% of its screen time in week two and that resulted in a huge drop in its collections; the lifetime business of the movie can cross Rs 30 crore mark. It collected just Rs 22.50 crore from its first week.

Pamela Anderson Gets into trouble at Mumbai airport

Posted: 16 Nov 2010 07:44 PM PST

Baywatch siren Pamela Anderson touched down at Mumbai airport on Monday night and was received with more enthusiasm than she might have expected.

The 43-year-old is in India to enter the Bigg Boss house as a guest. She was dressed quite casually in a grey top but flaunted her bare legs.

As her flight was delayed by about 2 hours, the media persons were impatient to catch a glimpse of her. So as soon as Pamela stepped out of the airport, she was gheraoed by the photographers. Though she had five bouncers for her security, they were no match for the mob.

As the situation spun out of control, Pamela rushed back in the airport and took a different exit route.

Katrina Kaif gets naughty and Strip Short Cloths in Tees Maar khan

Posted: 16 Nov 2010 07:38 PM PST

Katrina Kaif's item girl act in Tees Maar Khan is going to be very sensuous.

Till now the actress has dressed like a pretty Barbie doll in most of her films, but director Farah Khan will present us a different Kat: the oh-so-sexy, slim Kat.

Katrina plays an item girl in TMK, and one of the songs that will surely grab maximum eye balls is Sheila Ki Jawani which, according to Farah, is going to be Kat's best till now. And for a sizzling part of the song Farah has made Kat to drop her inhibitions and get naughty while covered in just a white satin sheet.

As Farah tells a tabloid about shooting the song, "For the satin bed sheet, we had a 10 feet rotating bed with the men around her."

The director can't stop singing praises about her leading lady and her dedication towards her work. Whenever someone asks Farah how she made Kat look so slim and sexy, Farah refutes and says that she never asked Kat to lose weight. It was Kat's decision to work on her body and get toned for TMK. We have even learnt that Kat didn't feel awkward while shooting in satin sheet in front of so many male dancers.

Aishwarya Rai Caught With High Fever

Posted: 16 Nov 2010 07:35 PM PST

In the days leading up to the release of her film Guzaarish, Aishwarya Rai has taken to bed. Perhaps the hectic schedule for the promotion of Guzaarish took a toll on her and Ash fell ill with fever.

Ash has been living out of a suitcase in the last few days. Within a span of just three days she travelled to Dubai, London and Kolkata to promote the film which is slated to release on November 19.

As a result, she had to cancel her trip to Delhi to promote the film. So, it was only the film's director Sanjay Leela Bhansali and male lead Hrithik Roshan who flew to the capital for promotions.

Incidentally, even Hrithik has been bedridden with malaria.

Akshay Kumar scolds Katrina Kaif : Tees Maar Khan

Posted: 16 Nov 2010 07:33 PM PST

It was done in jest but with an expression that might have given the impression of a real scolding.

Katrina Kaif kept Akshay Kumar waiting when the duo were supposed to address the press together after the music launch of director Farah Khan's film Tees Maar Khan aboard a train from Chhtrapati Shivaji Terminus to Lonavala.

When Akshay was ready to talk to the press, Katrina slipped away. Reports say she had gone to touch up her make-up but sources close to the actress insist that she had gone to the last coach of the five-coach train to get something warm to wear as the air conditioning in the train was turned up.

Whatever the reason for her absence, Akshay did not miss the chance to chide her, jocularly though.

We hear that Kat took the scolding in her own stride as she and Akshay are always on good terms.

Tees Maar Khan Movie Music review, Songs mp3 Download

Posted: 16 Nov 2010 07:29 PM PST

Farah Khan's third film Tees Maar Khan is all set for its big Christmas release with big stars Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif. After seeing the movie's grand music launch that too in a train, our expectations were soaring high. But after listening to the songs of the film they came crashing down. Wham!

Farah repeats her Om Shanti Om music composers Vishal-Shekhar for TMK as well and what's there for us in the album? Five originals and four remixes!

Expecting a terrific start? Here is the title track Tees Maar Khan in the vocals of the talented Sonu Nigam, who tunes his voice to different pitches to bring out the fun element in the song which also has the movie's funny and crude dialogues apart from the adha-Robinhood intro to Tees Maar Khan. It's mainly a Bolly-hip song enjoyable in parts. The zippy rhythm of the remix version makes for a good party number.

Now comes the most hyped song of the album Sheila Ki Jawani, which has more to do with Kat's newly-acquired killing figure rather than the music of the song. Though the number has a raunchy title, the music fails to capture the sensational mood and lacks the element that makes an item song a new addiction for the listeners. However, its hip-hop remix version is a bit better than the original and has its moments.

Farah Khan likes to keep qawwali in her films, so keeping the tradition, the album has Wallah Re Wallah. This is not just any run-of-the-mill number but has a special appearance by Salman Khan as well who will be dancing along with Kat in the song. Perhaps that's the only USP of this track, otherwise it's a middling composition. What to expect from the remix when original is just one-time play?

With the rustic tang and beats of dhapli comes Badey Dilwala sung by the energetic duo of Shreya Ghosal and Sukhwinder Singh. Sounds good but the track falls flat because of its forgettable tune. Badey Dilwala remix does the job of a filler in the album.

The Indian Idol singers from the past seasons Prajakta Sukre, Abhijeet Sawant and Zee Saregamapa winner Debojit Saha come together to render Happy Ending. Probably it's the concluding song and also the best among the lot. With its benevolent feel and lyrics Sab ka bhala ho, this is song about dreams and aspirations which will click instantly with the audience.

After passing all the tracks, it's hard to come to the conclusion! What exactly went wrong with Tees Maar Khan's music? It seems Vishal-Shekhar tried too hard to come up with catchy-pacy tunes but the hardwork or headwork did not bear fruit. Sad, TMK's music comes as a disappointment.
